The global pharmaceutical industry experienced a 5% rise in new job postings related to digital media in Q3 2022 compared with the previous quarter, according to GlobalData’s Jobs Analytics. This compares to a 5% increase in the previous quarter and an 166% increase versus Q3 2021.
Notably, General and Operations Managers jobs accounted for a 12% share of the global pharmaceutical industry’s digital media-related total new job postings in Q3 2022, down 14% over the prior quarter.
General and Operations Managers, with a share of 12%, emerged as the top digital media-related job roles within the pharmaceutical industry in Q3 2022, with new job postings drop by 14% quarter-on-quarter. Market Research Analysts and Marketing Specialists came in second with a share of 6% in Q3 2022, with new job postings rise by 18% over the previous quarter.
The other prominent digital media roles include Human Resources Workers with a 6% share in Q3 2022, Marketing and Sales Managers with a 5% share of new job postings.
The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q3 2022 were Avanti Hospitals , Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca and Grifols . Together they accounted for a combined share of 15% of all digital media-related active jobs in the pharmaceutical industry.
Avanti Hospitals posted 556 jobs in Q3 2022 and registered a rise of 5% over the previous quarter, followed by Johnson & Johnson with 291 jobs and a 8% growth. AstraZeneca with 174 jobs and Grifols with 173 jobs, recorded a 41% decline and a 46% decrease, respectively, while MerckInc recorded a 9% decline with 142 job postings during Q3 2022.
The largest share of digital media-related new job postings in the pharmaceutical industry in Q3 2022 was in the US with 74% followed by the UK (3%) and Canada (3%). The share represented by the US was 3% higher than the 71% share it accounted for in Q2 2022.
